The world today is run by money. To survive, it is an imperative that one has the capacity to make money. While most people opt to be employed under other people, there are some who choose to work for themselves and these are known as the entrepreneurs. Being an entrepreneur may be difficult in that one has to risk money to earn money. One can go into business on a wide scale, risking lots of money while having the potential to earn as much, or even more. In certain third-world countries, some mothers opt to buy wholesale goods to resell them. Items like shoes, bags, clothing; these are the things that are saleable for mothers. They usually sell these items to other mothers in school, or to coworkers, or even neighbors.
Wholesale shoes are a good option, in case one wants to engage in this kind of entrepreneurial venture. Women are rabid about shoes, and they would grab the chance to buy cheap but sturdy shoes any day. While designer items are highly desirable, they are not a must. What is a must is that the items, whether they be wholesale shoes or other goods, should be sturdy and must have a tasteful design.
Wholesale goods, like the aforementioned shoes, are also good for reselling in places like boutiques. If you own a boutique, then you can buy in bulk and resell these in your boutique for a slightly higher price. The only problem with wholesale goods is that there is a tendency for the consumer to want unique items. If you have seen, heard or read about it in media or even popular culture, there is an old joke about women freaking out at the sight of another woman wearing her dress. This is the only downside to reselling wholesale goods. But if your target market is the penny-pinching masses, this will pose little to no problem for you.
Again, to survive financial crises, or simply to earn or augment income, one has to be as shrewd about looking for money as can be. Skills are important in being employed, and they are equally important in becoming entrepreneurs. If you aim to become an entrepreneur, you have to be resourceful and be willing to take risks. However you start, whether small-scale or on a large scale, study the market, know where to source both your capital and your goods, take risks, and maintain an attitude of shrewdness. You can never go wrong with these.
